Estate Transition Management was founded by Derek Johnson after years of seeing families, trustees, fiduciaries, and professional advisors struggle with the operational complexity surrounding residential property transitions.

With more than 15 years of residential real estate experience, Derek has worked extensively with estates, trusts, senior transitions, inherited properties, property preparation, and other complex residential situations. ETM was created to solve the part of these transitions that often falls between the cracks: coordinating the people, property, vendors, timelines, and decisions necessary to move a residence from its current situation to its next chapter.

Derek is a Contributing Member of the National Association of Estate Planning Councils.

Derek remains an active real estate advisor, and it was that day-to-day work with estates, trusts, and complex family transitions that made the need for ETM impossible to ignore — he created ETM out of that necessity, as an independent company built to solve the part of a transition that real estate representation alone was never designed to cover.
